The Andersons, Inc. , has signed a letter of intent to form a Limited Liability Company (LLC) with Lansing Grain Company. The Andersons, a prominent regional player in grain merchandising, will be a minority investor in the LLC. Lansing Grain Company has agreed to contribute substantially all of its assets into the LLC. Lansing Grain Company is an independently owned ag- merchandising company with trading offices in Okemos, Michigan, Minneapolis and Kansas City. Lansing Grain Company trades wheat, corn, feed ingredients, and other grains/oilseeds.

The new venture affords both organizations a platform from which to launch future growth initiatives. The Andersons expects to gain significant market knowledge and to expand its trading area outside the eastern corn belt, while the Lansing Grain Company anticipates enhancing its growth opportunities.
